Step 1: Activate the Yeast

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast.
  2. Let sit 5 minutes until foamy.

Step 2: Make the Dough

  1. Add eggs and salt to the yeast mixture.
  2. Gradually add flour and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Add soft butter little by little.
  4. Knead 10–12 minutes until smooth, elastic, and slightly sticky.

Step 3: First Rise

  1. Place dough in a greased bowl.
  2. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1½–2 hours, until doubled.

Step 4: Shape the Rolls

  1. Punch down the dough.
  2. Divide into 12 equal pieces.
  3. Shape each into a smooth ball.
  4. Place on a lined baking tray, slightly apart.

Step 5: Second Rise

  • Cover and let rise 30–45 minutes until puffy.

Step 6: Bake

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brush rolls with egg wash (optional).
  3. Bake 18–22 minutes, until golden brown.

Step 7: Finish

  • Brush warm rolls with butter for extra softness.
  • Cool slightly and serve warm.
