🔹 Step 1: Cook the pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Cook the spaghetti until al dente.
Reserve ½ cup of the pasta water, then drain.
🔹 Step 2: Cook the salmon
Cut the salmon into bite-size cubes.
Season lightly with salt and pepper.
Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook the salmon for 2–3 minutes per side until golden.
Remove and set aside.
🔹 Step 3: Make the garlic butter
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium-low.
Add the butter and let it melt.
Add the garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant (do not brown).
🔹 Step 4: Add lemon flavor
Stir in the lemon zest, lemon juice, and capers.
Pour in a little reserved pasta water to create a light, silky sauce.
🔹 Step 5: Combine with pasta
Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet.
Toss gently until fully coated in the sauce.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
🔹 Step 6: Finish the dish
Return the salmon to the skillet and gently fold it in.
Sprinkle with fresh parsley.
Cook for 1 more minute, then remove from heat.
